In the not-so-distant future when an epidemic of organ failures devastates the planet, scientists gear for a massive organ harvest. A biotech giant comes up with easy organ payment plans, but all financed organs are subject to legal default, including repossession at the hands of repo men.
Repo! The Genetic Opera will be at the Tivoli in the Loop January 20th, at 9pm. Special guests Darren Lynn Bousman (director), Terrance Zdunich (co-creator and star), and Bill Moseley (star) will be there for a Q&A after the movie and autograph signing.
This is going to be an amazing movie. Not only is the cast great, but we all know and love the director Darren Lynn Bousman ( Saw II, Saw III, Saw IV, and episode of Fear Itself called "New Year's Day," and I'm sure that there is more). It's a rock opera (think Rocky Horror, but not the same) with awesome music. Bill Mosely (House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects, and countless others), Alex Vega (Spy Kids), Ogre (from Skinny Puppy), Paris Hilton (don't count her out yet, not only did her singing blow me away, but she looks completely different), Sarah Brightman (the original Christine from Broadway's Phantom of the Opera and she has countless solo cds, and sang at the Olympics opening ceremonies) and Anthony Stewart Head (Giles from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) are the main characters.
So go to the website, check it out, listen to some of the music, watch some of the videos, and log on to the message boards. This movie is going to be one that you won't want to miss out on.
